We are Nenad and Ivana, founders of Tara Expeditions, outdoor enthusiasts with a deep passion for nature. We are equally drawn to the call of the mountains and the flow of the rivers – to both land and water alike. When we discovered the concept of packrafting, we instantly knew it would change everything.
Packrafts give us the freedom to travel farther, stay out longer, and reach places that would otherwise be inaccessible – something we appreciate even more now as a family with young kid.
Our Team
We are a dedicated team of professionals and enthusiasts and work only with the best and selected accommodations, restaurants, households, transport companies and guides to ensure the full enjoyment of our guests. Tara Expeditions was founded by Nenad and his wife Ivana.
Nenad is a graduate economist with work experience in some global companies, but according to his understanding, life has something more to offer than an ordinary job from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nenad is an adventure and licensed tour guide with 10 years of guiding experience, engaged in numerous outdoor activities such as: hiking, biking, snowboarding, canyoning, kayaking and climbing. He has finished first aid course (Red Cross) as well as climbing course. He is Whitewater Guide licensed by International Rafting Federation.
Ivana is Montenegrin, fluent in English, and combines strong organizational skills with a degree in mathematics. She oversees customer service, logistics, and marketing. Ivana is passionate about the outdoors and raising our adventurous son. Many of the ideas for our family trips and come from her. They decided to run their own business and offer the best of the best from the guest experience they have been safely running for years and to promote the beauty of their country in the best possible way.
